Deck Design & Brand Partnership Strategy
Within five slides max, create a pitch deck for a talent agency that showcases entertainment opportunities (of my choice) and provides a brief insight into my approach to brand partnerships strategy. The goal was to create a deck highlighting Hip-Hop and Afrobeats talent, the agency’s expertise, and my approach to brand partnerships.
I took a deep dive into understanding the agency’s brand partnerships division and the entire Hip Hop and Afrobeats talent roster. I selected a range of talent to briefly showcase the variety of partnership opportunities. I also gained a deep understanding of the agency’s capabilities and approach.
As a result, I created a curated pitch deck that incorporates the agency’s branding with an elevated design. Within limited constraints, I was able to effectively highlight the various partnership opportunities and provide insight into the agency’s expertise and strategy within the space.
Brand Design & Social Media
Launching a digital membership platform exposed me to several aspects of working for a tech company. In addition to gaining experience in strategic planning and workflow/project management, I assisted with branding and creative strategy. The goal was to ensure the brand was cohesive and consistent across brand guidelines and social media. I worked with various stakeholders, such as the design agency and founder, creating iterations and providing feedback for the brand design. As a result, I played a key role in developing the brand, making all brand guide decks and other brand collateral, and ensuring that the curated aesthetic translated to social media.
Marketing Collateral & Events
During my time with the UCLA Cultural Affairs Commission – Hip-Hop Congress Series, I led the production of a fashion show in addition to working with various teams to produce other live events. In honor of Hip-Hop the goal was to host annual events based on an original theme. I contributed by developing and managing timelines, budgets, model castings and fittings, contract signings, coordinated show schedules, end-to-end event logistics and on-site execution. I assisted with the design of graphics for print and web marketing material. As a result, my team secured talent and 14 brand partnerships with prominent streetwear brands; there were hundreds of attendees, and we created unique marketing collateral to showcase the event.
Web Design
I obtained a certificate for a multilevel Squarespace design course that trains creatives to design a website from scratch and identify their design aesthetics. In this level, I redesigned a website of my choice (original site). The goal was to recreate the site From Scratch and make slight design improvements to better understand the mechanics of website design, CSS, and improve digital design skills. I chose the brand NotPot, a CBD brand, as a challenge as it's not my traditional design style. As a result, I recreateD an on-brand site from scratch. The course allowed me to showcase my ability to design web and collateral for Campaigns, events, and experiences such as landing pages and other digital media Assets.
